My Sister Stephanie

When I was 14, my 25-year-old sister won tickets to a concert and meet and greet for Cage the Elephant. I tell this story all the time because it was so formative for me, and I am quite literally eternally grateful she decided to take her annoying little sister.

My sister Stephanie showed me there was more to life's wonders that went beyond our little town. She showed me the light shining through the trees, the shadows that cities can cast, and how music can fill up your whole body. She taught me that I was weird, and it was okay to still be weird when I grew up.

I included her in my folk friends collection because she always has and still is more than my big sister. She's my friend.

This collection is cool and classic. It reminds me of a coffee shop in 2005 playing Weezer.
